We collect personal information from clients required to provide counselling services.

We do not collect sensitive information such as your race, religion, beliefs or sexual preference except where you have consented or where we are permitted or required by law to do so.

3. What happens if you choose not to provide the information?

You are not required to give us your personal information. However, if you choose not to, we may be unable to provide you with our services.

Nettherapy use your personal information:

to identify you so that we can provide services to you;
for billing and credit control purposes;
to improve the services we provide to you and to inform you about any improvements or changes in services;
to market other services that we offer; and
to comply with our legal obligations.

This information cannot be used to identify you or any other individual client or visitor to our website. The information is used to collect and analyse statistics about browsing behaviour for marketing and development purposes. For example, we may use such information to make improvements to our website.

Nettherapy will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information which we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you wish to access the information we hold about you, please send an email (see contact details below) and we will respond to you within 7 days. You can also request that incorrect information about you be corrected or deleted.

Nettherapy takes all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure, and misuse. Nettherapy recognises our responsibility for protecting the privacy of your personal information. Security measures are in place to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. We will review and update these measures from time to time to ensure security is maintained.

8.2 Secure Sockets Layering (SSL)

Our payment gateway through Westpac's Web Advantage software, uses 128-bit Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to encrypt your personal credit information, including your credit card number, before it travels over the Internet. SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions.
